Version 10.6 of the RTF to HTML5 converter library ScroogeXHTML for the Java platform is available now. This version features improved support for nested table conversion.

Key features:

  • Supports hyperlinks, bookmarks, multi-language and LTR/RTL text, field results and simple tables.
  • Optionally minimizes result markup using CSS.
  • Includes an API for post-processing of the intermediate DOM tree.
  • Experimental support for nested tables.
  • Extracts raw picture data and includes complimentary code for converting and embedding images as Data URIs.
  • Output formats HTML5 and XHTML.
  • Small memory footprint: about 150 KB.
  • Fast conversion: up to several MB/second.
  • Tested with Java SE 8, 11, 17 and 21.
